Qualifications

Judgment, experience, and local seamanship.

All Lite Yachting crew members are trained, professional boat operators with extensive on-the-water experience. Every crew member holds a valid New York State boating license and operates in full compliance with all applicable maritime regulations.

Safety is non-negotiable. All crew are certified in first aid and emergency response, and we maintain rigorous international standards for situational awareness, vessel handling, and guest safety at all times.

Beyond technical ability, our team is selected for judgment, reliability, and professionalism. Crew members are carefully vetted and must demonstrate strong cognitive aptitude, sound decision-making under pressure, and personal accountability.

Our crew maintains detailed knowledge of local waterways, marina-specific rules, and enforcement practices throughout the Hamptons and surrounding ports. We operate confidently in high-traffic conditions, at night, and in reduced visibility, with an emphasis on conservative judgment and proactive risk management. While guests are welcome to enjoy themselves responsibly, all Lite Yachting crew operate under a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol or substances while on duty. Professional operation is not optional.
